PSM at the top of the standings, the French Defender did not want to fall asleep

PSM Makassar finally regained the lead of League 1 after bending Persiba Balikpapan in the 31st week at Andi Mattalatta Stadium Mattoangin, Tuesday (24/10/2017).

Although PSM reigns, Steven Paulle, PSM defender from France felt the need to remind his colleagues not to fall asleep and dissolve in the euphoria of victory.

“There are still three heavy games waiting, we have to focus on each party because PSM could be slipping,” Paulle told a news conference after the match.

Three matches that await the PSM is a visit to Barito Putera (29/10/2017) and then entertaining two potential competitors, Bali United (11/06/2017) and Madura United (12/11/2017).

“Starting tomorrow, we will focus first on Barito, and at home Barito can beat us,” Paulle said. At the first meeting at the Stadio Andi Mattalatta Mattoangin, Barito drew 1-1 PSM. PSM coach, Robert Alberts had a similar opinion with the defender.

“I have emphasized to the players that every game is like a final to be won,” said Robert.

Robert specifically praised the performance of Paulle who performed well in dispelling Barito sporadic attacks. “Steven appeared disciplined in the game earlier,” said Robert.

Indirectly, Robert chose Paulle as the best player on PSM vs Persiba duel versus Ferdinand Sinaga who scored two goals. Because it has become a habit of Robert to bring players who judged to look good to accompany him to meet the media meet.
